What Happens On The Day

Now in its 14th year, right here at Belvoir Castle – 4 great firework displays! Three of the UK’s best firework companies compete against each other with a 10-minute spectacular firework display choreographed to music followed by a breath-taking, huge finale display. The types of fireworks being used by the companies are unlike any material used for fireworks available to the general public, each company uses category 4 fireworks, which are only for professional use and the biggest available in the UK.

After gazing at the illuminating fireworks and lasers, watching all the teams battle for the Fireworks Champions title, the audience has all the power in their hands (through their mobile phone) to decide the winner. How exciting! Texts will be charged at normal rates and a limit of 1 vote per number is in place. Each voting number receives a text back with the results.

Komodo FIREWORKS

Komodo Fireworks are delighted to be part of this season's Firework Champions competition at Belvoir Castle. With our main display base just down the road in Leicestershire, it is great to be back at Belvoir for this year’s event and we are really looking forward to showcasing our work! Komodo fireworks lit the fuse as a professional display company for the first time in 2004 and since then have consistently grown in stature and reputation as one of the best in the business for producing breathtaking and multi award winning musical firework displays.

Our company director and display designer Rob Sosbe, heads up a team of over 40 dedicated and experienced pyrotechnicians who work for us on displays of all shapes and sizes carried out right across the UK. Over the years, the team has worked on a huge variety of projects both at home and internationally and are constantly looking to develop fresh and exciting ways of adding the WOW with fireworks.

GALA FIREWORKS

Gala Fireworks was born out of a burning passion for fireworks and pyrotechnics. We take great pride in every display, whether it’s a small wedding display, or a full-scale public festival with 200,000 spectators. Our team of professional firers are trained to level 1 and 2 of the British Pyrotechnics Association training scheme. This means you can rest assured that we will design, rig and execute your firework display as safely as possible, at the same time providing a sensational and spectacular finale to your event or big day.

How To Get There

 

01

Drive

From London – From A1 North
Belvoir can be reached via the A1 North to Grantham. Take the A607 signposted to Melton Mowbray (You will see brown heritage road signs for the Castle from this turning.) After approximately 3 miles on A607 turn right through Denton and then to Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir.

From Nottingham – A52 (towards Grantham)
By-pass Bingham on A52. After approximately 3 miles from Bingham turn right towards the village of Redmile (You will see brown heritage road signs for the castle from this turning.) Drive straight through Redmile to the crossroads. Drive over crossroads straight up the hill to the junction.

From Leicester – A607 to Melton Mowbray
From A607 heading towards Grantham, you will pick up brown heritage road signs for Belvoir Castle approximately 4 miles after the village of Waltham-on-the-Wolds. Follow these signs until you reach the castle.
