Every competition display is designed, programmed, prepared and fired by a specialist team. Your vote recognises the performance that brought all of that work together best on the night.
It comes directly from the audience
The champion is chosen by the people standing beneath the display. That makes the result an honest reflection of which team connected most strongly with the crowd.
It means something to the crews
Teams invest enormous care in every musical cue, colour choice and firing position. Winning the audience vote is recognition from thousands of people that their work created the night’s most memorable performance.

Use the judging guide below if it helps, then trust your overall reaction. The performance you enjoyed most deserves your vote.

Type SHOW, add a space, then the number of your chosen display: SHOW 1, SHOW 2 or SHOW 3.

Enjoy the grand finale
The larger closing display is a celebration and is not part of the competition. The result is sent by text after voting.

What should
you look for?
You are judging the experience, not conducting a technical inspection. Notice the details, but choose the show that works best as a whole.
Colour & visual design
How are colours combined, contrasted and layered? Look for clean changes and a balanced picture across the sky.
Connection to the music
Do bursts land on beats, lyrics and musical accents? The fireworks should feel created for the soundtrack, not simply played over it.
Emotion & storytelling
Did the show excite, move or surprise you? Look for a journey with a beginning, development, memorable moments and a satisfying end.
Intensity & pacing
Intensity is more than noise. Look for contrast, anticipation, calm passages and powerful moments placed where they matter most.
Variety & creativity
Consider the range of effects, heights, shapes and firing positions, plus original ideas or unexpected combinations.
Use of the sky
Look for width, height, symmetry, movement and layers. A deliberate balance can be just as effective as filling every gap.
Overall impact
Which complete performance stayed with you? The winner does not have to be the loudest, use the most fireworks or have the biggest finale. It should be the show you most want to experience again.
